SummersRadio™ Classic! Ivy - 'Edge Of The Ocean' (Duotone Mix)/ 'Distant Lights'
Yesterday's post from Erika Spring reminded me of this classic song from Ivy - as both singers have a similar soothing sweetness in their voices. It's also an unusually hot summer day here in Vancouver for August, so I find thoughts of a cool ocean breeze comforting today - and as an added bit of synchronicity I noticed that both ladies only feature a portion of their faces on the cover art!
Ivy is an indie pop/ electronic trio from New York City featuring vocalist Dominique Durand. 'Edge Of The Ocean' was a single from their third album called 'Long Distance' which was released in the summer of 2001 on the Vancouver based Nettwerk label. Some songs just sound like summer - and this is certainly one of them - this is the 'Duotone Mix' from the 'Edge Of The Ocean' EP... Enjoy!
