Kriece has just released a new EP called 'Kriece Mashups Volume 1'! Kriece aka Shamatha is a dj/ producer from Perth, Australia. 'Paranormal Codeine Steampunk' reminds me of a magical night at the last Soundwave Music Festival on Vancouver Island in 2010. All of my friends were at the drum and bass stage but I wandered off to the main stage where I saw Neighbour with DJ Trevor and friends. Their entire set was literally a perfect groove/ mix of original disco/ house/ funk and electronic music - complete with guitars, an mc and backing vocalists.
If there was such a place as a dance heaven it would sound just like that night - and the dj's would be playing this song in high rotation for the next few months (as it will be at Club English Bay aka my livingroom)... Enjoy!
