Belinda Carlisle has just released a new single called 'Sun' today! Now I know this post is a bit poppier than usual - but the Go-Go's are one of my all time favourite bands (they're touring again this summer) and this is her first new (English language) single in 17 years! 'Sun' is her first new song since the release of her 1996 album 'A Woman And A Man' and her French language debut 'Voila' in 2007.
'Sun' is the one new song on her new eleven track best of compilation called 'Icon' which is available both on cd (on Amazon: http://www.amazon.ca/ICON-Belinda-Carlisle/dp/B00AO7HPNO/ref=sr_1_6?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1363748571&sr=1-6) and as a download on iTunes as of today (it's listed as 'Best Of' on iTunes Canada instead of 'Icon' for some reason).
'Sun' has summer hit written all over it - and with the opening keyboards it sounds like it would lend itself well to some dance remixes - hopefully there will be some forthcoming. So please help spread the word and hopefully we'll see Belinda back on the charts soon - this is 'Sun'... Enjoy!
