Today is Alison Moyet's birthday - Happy Birthday Alison! I had the pleasure of seeing her perform some years ago on her 'Essex' tour - at Richard's in Vancouver. One of many highlights was when she paused her set to sing 'Happy Birthday' to one of her fans in the audience who was celebrating theirs that day - it was very beautiful and sincere moment.
Moyet released her eighth studio album called 'The Minutes' in May of last year on the Cooking Vinyl label. It was produced by Guy Sigsworth who helped her deliver the most electronic album of her solo career (since Yazoo). 'Changeling' was the third single released from the album - and my favourite track. As you can see in this video she's looking and sounding better than ever (she's 53 today)... Enjoy!
